Walker Art Center

The Walker Art Museum, hailed by Newsweek as "possibly the best contemporary art museum in the country," is one of the most visited contemporary art museums in the nation. The Walker Art Center focuses on modern and contemporary from the mid-20th century to the present and supports mid-career artists from the region and around the world.

Minnesota Orchestra

The award-winning Minnesota Orchestra performs nearly 200 concerts each year including programs broadcasted on Minnesota Public Radio. This radio distribution allows the orchestra to reach approximately 200,000 people each week. In addition to traditional concerts, the Minnesota Orchestra connects with more than 85,000 music lovers annually through Young People's Concerts, Adventures in Music for Families programs and Kinder Konzerts. In the last decade more than half a million students have experienced a Minnesota Orchestra Young People’s Concert.

The Minnesota Opera

The Minnesota Opera has enriched the cultural landscape of the area for over 40 years and enjoys an international reputation for its innovative and thought-provoking approach to traditional and contemporary repertoire. The company is comprised of local, national and international artists and performs November through May at Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul.

Minneapolis Institute of Arts

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts brings over 100,000 pieces of fine art to the city in the form of paintings, sculpture, metalwork, ceramics, photographs and glasswork. The Institute’s formal collection is supplemented by traveling exhibits on many topics, discipline and media.

Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra

The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, now in its 47th season, is the nation’s only full-time professional chamber orchestra and is widely regarded as one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. Renowned for its artistic excellence and remarkable versatility of musical styles, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra tours nationally and internationally, including performances in premier venues in Europe, Asia and South America.

In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre

Stories from cultures all over the world form the foundation of the theatre’s repertoire displayed through the dramatic use of puppets and masks. The stories are told through music and movement and the imaginative creation of papier-mache characters.
